Partners
NVQUK works with a number of delivery and regulatory partners to ensure that our training programmes are effective and in tune with sector needs
The partners include:
Sector Skills Councils
Skills for Health - works with employers and other stakeholders in the Health sector to advise on current needs and future skills requirements for the sector.
Skills for Care - advises on needs for and future requirements for the Care sector. NVQUK works in partnership with Skills for Care on projects such as the Academy for Care.
Awarding Bodies
Edexcel - is the awarding body that NVQUK has chosen to work with, we are able to explore new qualification programmes and modules with Edexcel in addition to working with them to ensure that there is appropriate rigour to our assessment process. This ensures that every learner who achieves with NVQUK can be confident that they have reached the nationally expected standard in their qualification programme
Funding Bodies
The Skills Funding Agency is the main funder of most programes undertaken by our learners, The Train to Gain Initiative enables all learners who meet certain criteria to embark on our accredited qualification programmes free of charge.
Additionally in Scotland we work with Skills Development Scotland and in Wales with the Welsh Assembly Government to deliver the appropriate qualification programmes for health and health and social care organisations. Sometimes this involves us working in partnership with other providers.
Regulators
Ofsted is the main regulator of adult education in England having taken over from the Adult Learning Inspectorate, In Scotland we work with the SQA and in Wales the Welsh Assembly Government leads on all education issues
